STORY OF THE DAY

After a disappointing qualifying result Jason started in 18th for today’s 200 kilometre race. The team deciding to pit his Team BOC Commodore early in hopes it would work in their favour mid-race. As he made his second pit stop it was just on the verge of a safety car call, due to Chaz Mostert hitting a tyre wall. Due to pit stop and safety car timing it didn’t put him in the mix with the front runners, however he did gain places in the field. He ultimately finished in 13th position.

JASON’S WORD

“I don’t like to say it, but it has been one of those days to forget. We didn’t qualify where we should have, I copped a penalty yesterday that I felt wasn’t warranted and the car just didn’t have the pace today.”

“It’s not much fun running around mid-pack where we are now, we’ve got to find that speed. We’ve tried a few different things with the car this year at each meeting we’ve been to. We’re working on it. We’ll get there.”
